COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course comprehensively covers classification, assessment and treatment of motor speech disorders in children. The course includes hands-on diagnostic problem solving of video-based case examples, intervention planning, outcome measurement and procedures to maximize intervention benefits in this population.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this workshop, trainees will:
- Learn how to assess and diagnose motor speech disorders in children using a test-battery approach.
- Learn to write treatment goals.
- Understand best-practices to maximize the effectiveness of treatment.
- Describe clinically relevant outcome measures for assessing change following an intervention.
- Describe recent discoveries and technological advances in the study of motor speech disorders in children.
