The objective of this course is to foster the critical analysis and thoughtful application of research findings to clinical practice in speech-language pathology.

By the end of this workshop, trainees will:

Learn to acquire/look for scientific evidence.
Learn to evaluate the quality of scientific evidence.
Learn to integrate the scientific evidence into the hierarchy of evidence quality (evidence pyramid).
Learn to integrate the scientific evidence into the five-phase model for clinical-outcome research.
Understand basic statistical issues (related to p-values, effect size).
